What Customers Say About Garmin US TOPO 24K National Parks, East CD:

Software was easily loadable on computer. Each 24K map is 300-500kb in size. Mapsource software made it easy to manage maps on computer. Routes and map sets can be defined on Mapsource before sending to GPS unit (etrex Summit HC). Topo maps of all Glacier Park is about 17mb and easily contained in the 22mb internal memory of the Summit HC GPS. Mapsource software should be updated from free update on Garmin web site.
Maps don't change that often. Used in Adirondacks with a 60CSx. I was aware that there was a newer version of the map when I got this one. The version of the software which comes on the CD refused to upload the map to my GPS until I downloaded the new version of the software from the Garmin website. Good thing is that apparently you don't have to unlock this map, like you do with the new maps.
This is the first time my new computer has actually taken a significant amount of time to load new software. If you are buying this along with a new GPS you may want one with expandable memory. There is just so much data. Other wise the soft ware is easy to use with good help.
I was extremely disappointed with this product. It is advertised as WESTERN US and covers ONLY the National Parks and NONE of the surrounding areas. If it is ONLY the National Parks it should NOT mention "Western Region" as that is mis-leading.
I purchased it to use for the Appalachian Trail monitoring that I perform as a volunteer for the Appalachian Trail Conservancy. This is a product that Garmin should be ashamed of. The trail data is at least ten to fifteen years old. The maps do not show trail relocations that are in some instances fifteen years old. The official USGS Topo maps show these relocations, but why not this set.
